The Nobility of Sapphire

We have finally added sapphire to our collection! All the natural stones we use in our collections are unique and special. Sapphire is also one of these unique stones.

Sapphire is the birthstone for September. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin word "saphirus" and the Greek word "sapheiros," both of which mean blue. Some believe the name sapphire stems from its connection to the planet Saturn. The name can roughly be translated in many different languages to mean "dear to the planet Saturn."

Ancient Persian rulers believed that the sky was painted blue by the reflection of sapphire stones. And once, a great poet described sapphire as "the blue of a clear sky just a few minutes after sunset."

Kings wore sapphires around their necks as a powerful defense against negative influences. They believed it would protect the wearer from envy and bestow divine favor.

For centuries, sapphire has been seen as a symbol of the heavens, a protector of innocence, and a supporter of health. It is believed to provide joy, prosperity, inner peace, and beauty.

In the Middle Ages, people believed that wearing sapphire suppressed negative thoughts. It is also believed to have a healing power for ailments.

Sapphire is said to be a stone of wisdom that promotes concentration, enhances creativity, and encourages purity and depth of thought. Sapphire is thought to bring peace and prosperity. Due to its blue color, it eliminates energy imbalances and is associated with the throat and brow chakras.

Sapphire is one of the most popular gemstones and is widely used in jewelry. Due to their hardness, sapphires can be cleaned in almost any way. Warm, soapy water is best, but you can also try ultrasonic cleaners and steamers. You can also try using water containing ammonia.
